Tier 1 IT Company
What we were asked to provide:
- Business Process sessions for the amalgamation of 4 different businesses onto one system over a two phased implementation resulting in a massive business process reengineering program and ultimate role changes for approximately 3,000, including the roll-out of Employee Self Service HR functions to all.
- Development and implementation of training strategies over three implementations impacting 3,000 people spread across Australia and New Zealand on over 100 sites (including client and remote sites).
- Training deliverables including OnDemand (UPK) simulations, eLearning courses, training activity guides and data sets, course presentation material to support classroom delivery and Quick Reference Cards.
- The scope of the first phase included the design and implementation of a change management and training strategy to support the change management & training of 2000 occasional & 400 core users across multiple SAP processes. Resulting in 4 separate business units standardising processes to operate on a single platform.
- Phase 2 implemented CRM OnDemand and implemented a new forecasting process and system impacting 200 Client Executives and Senior Sales Managers.
- Phase 3 implemented Employee Self Service (ESS), Management Self Service (MSS), HR, Payroll AU and NZ, Recruitment and Selection and Performance Management. Phase 3 impacted an additional 40 core users, 600 Managers and 3,000 employees and contractors.
Result:
- 4 separate business units standardised processes to operate on a single platform.
- Developed and delivered a high quality training program with detailed supporting documentation.
Major Property Development Company
What we were asked to provide:
- Design and deliver a business readiness plan to ensure a high level of business buy-in and user adoption.
- Facilitate process validation sessions to define business rules, controls and responsibilities.
- Establish a business process reference group to drive business decisions.
- Deliver 180 training sessions to 500 users and develop 50 SAP courses for face-to-face and eLearning delivery.
- Training deliverables included uPerform simulations, eLearning courses, training activity guides and data sets, and course presentation material. The solution scope included SAP Finance and Controlling, Materials Management, Project Systems, Real Estate, CRM, Business Intelligence and Time entry.
- Immersion training was implemented for high volume processing groups such as Accounts Payable, Sales Administration and Purchasing key users. The objective of the training was to develop a level of proficiency long before go-live by delivering topical lessons and providing sandpit activities, as well as making their early feedback part of the solution.
- The training solution integrated process and system content and was deployed using KnowHow Learning Management System. The KhowHow suite of products enabled rapid development of professional process and system support content and provided a platform which enables users to readily revise their SAP skills in the context of the new business processes.
Result:
- A high level of business readiness and solution adoption was achieved, as a result of a sustained, interactive engagement program
- Business process owners truly owned the solution, which was exhibited during end user training where all sessions were lead by a Business Process Owner to drive key messages and provide business context.
- Achieved 98% positive outcome for the effectiveness of training & facilitator proficiency through the management of a program of training delivered by a combined business and professional training delivery team.
Major Engineering Company
What we were asked to provide:
- Robust processes to deliver a training development and delivery solution for 10 Deployments of 4,000 users across all states, New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysia.
- OnDemand (now known as UPK) simulations, eLearning courses, training activity guides and data sets, PowerPoint slides to support classroom delivery, Quick Reference Cards, Knowledge portal to use as a single launch pad, context-sensitive help from within SAP.
- Assistance with the implementation of the Training and Event Management module.
- A Learning Management System supporting the management of safety related qualifications.
- Design of a qualifications catalogue to transition from multiple spread sheets to a single SAP system.
- The solution scope included SAP Finance and Controlling, Sales and Distribution, Inventory Management, Materials Management, Project Systems, Plant Maintenance, Customer Service, Production Planning, Warehouse Management, CRM, HR, BI and Time entry.
Result:
- Developed a methodology to deploy training to support broad SAP scope across multiple business units, utilising complex processes.
- Developed and implemented the logistical procedures & controls to manage and deploy training at 21 concurrent locations and 120 classes per week during peak periods resulting in minimal issues. The program spanned New Zealand, North Queensland, Singapore, Malaysia & Western Australia
- Achieved 98% positive outcome for the effectiveness of training & facilitator proficiency through the management of a program of training delivered by 15 professional & 200 business trainers.
- Congruent with deadline and budget, our consultants delivered a Learning Management System supporting the management of safety related qualifications.
